  • Websites are invaluable and offer a lot more than we needtherefore we take these things for granted which should ofcourse never be done but sadly it is. The internet can provideus with anything that we want and we should be grateful that wehave advanced this far in technology and that we can use it likethis to our advantage. I just don't know what some people woulddo if we were still stuck in the dark ages and we all had tocommunicate by telephone, some people would just go insane! Thebeauty of a website is that it offers fabulous guidance when itcomes to large and small scale projects!

  • Not everyone goes for it alone. Though some people have the helpof professionals and some people have hired help from familiesand friends! There is always something for everyone to do whenit comes to home improvement as I'm sure you've read elsewhere! It is also an ongoing job, it isn't just a one off to beforgotten about. It is always updated, not at the same time, butevery month or three months depending on what the project is, itshould be reviewed and updated!

  • If you want a personal touch and a laugh with the store keepersthen choose a smaller home improvement store as the larger onesoffer rows of tills and workers that are all generic and neverseem to have an expression on their face, also the staff don'talways know what they are talking about. Smaller stores offergreat knowledge as they are owned by actual tradesman and notsome big shot executive. I'm not saying that larger homeimprovement stores are bad, they are not. They are just a bitplain. They may be cheaper but going to a smaller store is wellworth the money!

  • The smaller home improvement stores usually tend to be calledDIY (Do it yourself) stores. The don't offer the larger itemslike the new kitchens and so on, but they offer great qualityand great service as they are a family run business and havemore of a personal touch with the customer. Their items may be alittle bit more expensive than a large store but that is becausethey cannot buy in bulk as they could never store or sell it on.Many people who use smaller home improvement stores tend tostick with them for all their hardware needs and don't tend toshop around, this is because they love the service and get ongreat with the shop keepers. These kind of stores have onlyabout 2-5 staff working there, because of the fact the storedoes not have too much business, unless is it very well knownand loved.

  • Help is of course like I said very easy to find and of courseyou can get cheap labour slapping your mates on the back askingthem for a favour so why not try that approach rather thancontracting some very expensive professionals to get the workdone for you! It is always cheaper in the long run to employsome friends and neighbours instead of contractors as you haveto pay for their over priced labour charges and materialcharges. At the end of they day if you can't be bothered withall the hassle of hiring some help then just go for it alone, you may find out that it would probably be quicker than puttingup with everyone else's demands and you will also get exactlywhat you want done without splashing out some extra cash!
